Boise VA National Telehealth Hub

To provide administrative and clinical office space for a national telehealth care hub, the Veterans Administration contracted with Winspear Construction to construct a 17,120 SF addition to the Boise Regional Benefit Office located on the Boise VA Medical Center campus.  This project involved the construction of a second-floor addition along with supporting access stairways and elevator to a portion of the existing facility. Construction of 44 sound rated consult rooms were built to allow for doctors to telecommunicate with patients via phone and video without being overheard. In addition to the consult rooms, offices, training rooms, breakout spaces, restrooms, schedulers space, and breakrooms all with top grade finishes were constructed. Final touches include a deck leading out of a breakroom and a back-up generator that will support the whole building in case of any power outages. This project required construction activities to take place above active offices without disrupting the existing tenants. Winspear Construction worked diligently with the VA and the buildings tenants in order to deliver this project without any major interruptions.
